We are The Graduate Singers
The Graduate Singers (TGS) is a semi-professional, award-winning choir established in 2010.
The choir most recently represented Singapore at the 2018 World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa, and brought home a gold and a silver medal in separate categories. In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam International Choir Competition.
Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall and YST Conservatory Concert Hall. For its fifth anniversary, the choir launched its debut EP, now available on Spotify and iTunes.
The choir’s international footprints include being the first Singaporean choir to be part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York’s Concert Series, Messiah…Refreshed! In 2013, as well as staging TGS x JAPAN — a two-part concert series in Singapore and Tokyo, Japan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the two country’s diplomatic relations (SJ50) in 2016.
Music Director
Adyll Hardy is the Music Director of The Graduate Singers. Adyll honed his musicianship singing in numerous award-winning choirs such as The National University of Singapore Choir, The Vocal Consort, and the SYC Ensemble Singers. He was awarded a distinction in ATCL Recital in Singing as well as an Advanced Performance Certificate from Trinity College London. Adyll attained his Diploma in Conducting from London College of Music in 2013, and ALCM in Conducting from London College of Music in 2015. In 2012, Adyll received the Tan Ean Kiam Award from NUS Centre for the Arts, which honours individuals who have contributed significantly to the arts community as alumni of NUS.
